Quality

Blackstone Saunas uses only the best materials in all our products. Product components from wood, heaters, electrical wiring, control panels, hinges, seating, and other operable components are always of the highest quality and excellence. Our engineers inspect and approve every sauna or massage chair. Each one of our products has an individual serial number that enables us to track the quality of manufacturing for warranty purposes and ensures every product meets our high standards.

Service

At Blackstone Saunas, Customer Service is our major priority. Sauna delivery and installation on Vancouver Island and in the Greater Vancouver area is available. Delivery and installation for most parts of BC is negotiable for a minimal fee. We are here to help you with any questions regarding usage, maintenance, or manufacturing of our units. We stand behind our product line and are pleased to help with any concerns regarding any sauna from any manufacturer.

Research

Blackstone Saunas is unique in that one of our owners is a Scientific Researcher ensuring that all we produce and sell is not only well researched, but also that our customers are well informed on all research practices and health benefits of Infrared Saunas. In addition, our staff is well informed and knowledgeable regarding all our products and usage.

Wood

All saunas have solid finished Canadian Douglas Fir Wood on all sides with no fillers or plywood. Front, sides, and back panels are finished with a light finish that is beautiful from any angle. Blackstone Saunas does not use varnish or any substance that will emit toxic vapors on the interior. Using a gentle soap weekly and a once yearly light sanding easily cleans the interior. (Cedar available through special order.)

Heaters

At Blackstone Saunas we carry a wide variety of styles with both ceramic and carbon fibre heaters. Each unit has wood slats to ensure a comfortable sauna session for the user. Deluxe units come with moveable side rests.

Ceramic

Ceramic heat is a clean, efficient heat. Electric current is cycled through a silicon (glass) filament to produce infrared waves. Ceramic infrared heaters are well researched, tested, and proven to be an excellent heat source in the infrared light spectrum. These heaters are spaced strategically throughout each of our individual units to ensure maximum benefit for the sauna user. Our models have a larger space between the actual heating element and the protective outer covering, which provides more of a safety barrier from the user contacting the actual heating element. Ceramic bulbs last an average of 30,000 hours before replacement needed.

Carbon Fibre

Blackstone Saunas also offers the choice of carbon fibre heaters in our deluxe models.  Carbon fibre is a synthetic material made through a chemical and physical process.  It is a thin strand of material woven together to produce a strong, fire resistant fabric used in spacecraft, aircraft, golf clubs, bicycle frames, and more.  Carbon fibres are excellent electrical conductors.  The benefits of using carbon fibre as an infrared heating element is that they produce an even heat, are durable and lightweight, and have a low thermal inertia point.  The surface area of these infrared heaters is larger resulting in a continuous overall infrared wave coverage throughout the sauna.  Carbon fibre infrared heaters are the newest, most efficient, health promoting infrared technology on the market.  The Japanese designed and patented heaters provide a gentle, comforting heat.

Hinges

Quality self-locking heavy-duty hinges ensure the stability of the sauna yet provides for easy moving. Each factory inspected self-locking hinge ensures good alignment between sauna walls resulting in a flush quality fit.

Control Panels

Front and interior panels control for temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius, have light controls for mood or reading, and timers that regulate sauna time. Deluxe units also come with mood lights, ionizers, and light therapy.

Electrical Wiring

All wiring is CSA/CTL or E/U approved. Each unit is individually inspected and stamped with approval. Wiring is heavy duty, safe, and easily accessible from the roof of all units. Wiring is simple to set up and easily taken down for moving.

Interior

Units come with wood benches and backrests that allow the user to change positions often or lounge comfortably. Strategically placed heaters provide maximum heating. Interior CD/AM/FM radios come standard and TV/DVD players are available upon special order.

"I never thought I would ever be the one writing a testimonial instead of reading it but once you have had a life changing experience, you want to share it with anyone who will listen. I have STRUGGLED in vain, to lose weight since my hysterectomy in 1978. When I reached 200 pounds (I'm still working on switching to metric) over Xmas 2005, I made it my New Year's resolution, again, to lose weight.  After changing my diet sensibly, using my rebounder regularly (did you know too much time on a rebounder can cause the toxins that come out of your body to give you a nasty rash that can take weeks to clear) I lost nothing, again. Then my husband and I read about the many health benefits of an infrared sauna (including possible weight loss). We got our cute little 2-seater in mid March of 2006. The first thing I noticed was softer skin. Though not what I wanted most it was a pleasant change. Then after a month or two I noticed that my sweat, which had initially smelled unpleasant during a session, was no longer noticeable. Being a skeptic I decided that I was probably just used to it, but looking back I know it was toxins being drawn out without the nasty rash part. Then low and behold by early April I had lost 15 pounds!  I quickly calculated that at that rate it would take me another 4 months to lose the 75 pounds that I longed to lose. No this isn't a miracle weight loss story, but considering the almost 30 years of continuous weight gain and dieting, sensibly or otherwise, and always having the weight come back and bring a few friends along for the ride, this was the first time in over 20 years that I have lost more than just 1 or 2 pounds without almost starving myself. It has been slow but I have lost 48 pounds to date. I thought I'd cry the other day when I could actually see and feel my shoulder and hipbones.  I have also been under the care of a naturopath for 7 or 8 years for thyroid, hormone, heavy metals, weak lung linings and fibromyalgia symptoms etc. etc. Whether there's any connection or how much or just the combination, I don't know but for the first time they're under control. I don't cough continually (unless I have a cold), my eyebrows have grown back (thyroid), and my heavy metal count is down from literally off the chart to below normal.  The Dr. asked me just last month how my fibromyalgia symptoms were. I hadn't been aware of the normal skin tenderness so I pinched and poked my self and was shocked that I hardly hurt at all. It stopped so gradually; I guess I just didn't notice. I am still under the Dr.'s care, I'm still watching my diet, exercising a little (I'm one of those people who would rather weed in the garden for 8 hours than walk for 1 hour), and using the sauna 1 to 7 times a week. "I've had acne problems since I was 15. I've gone to dermatologist after dermatologist, taken antibiotics for years, and gone through several cycles of Accutane therapy. I've used special make-up, moisturizers, and tried special diets, but nothing took away my acne. Upon reaching my 50 th birthday, I was distressed that I still had serious acne. I thought it would go away after all these years, and then I purchased a Blackstone Sauna. I originally purchased my sauna to help with my body pain from Fibromyalgia, imagine my surprise and extreme relief when the very first week of use my acne cleared. Completely cleared. I've had my Blackstone Sauna for over two years now and have been acne free ever since. If I start having any breakouts, it's probably because I haven't been using my sauna consistently, so I get back in and within days the breakouts clear. I'm also noticing a marked decrease and lightening of my old acne scarring. I no longer have rough skin and the dark spots are disappearing. I love my sauna!!!!! It's my quiet time with my music to unwind and let all the tension and stress of the day to drip off me. I feel rejuvenated and ready for the next day. I've had a problem with fluid on my lung, and at the first sign of pain, I jump in the sauna for about 45 min. The next day I feel great - no sign of pain. I suffered from neck, shoulder, and lower back tension/spasms for many years and on a weekly basis, I would visit a massage therapist for painful deep tissue massage to help relieve the tension. Sitting in a hot tub or daily hot bath would relieve the pain for a short time, but usually half way thru the night I would wake up with muscle pain and getting up in the morning was difficult. I was introduced to infrared saunas from a friend who had recently purchased one. She told me that they were like miracle machines, helping her with her condition and to just relax. I thought to myself, what do I have to lose, and tried it out for myself. Well I can say that I have never seen so much sweat come out of my body in 30 minutes and how relaxed and refreshed I felt afterwards. I had also had a better sleep that night waking up only once with mild pain and the following morning I was actually able to get out of bed without my husband helping me! I continued to use my friend's sauna regularly every three days for about three weeks, and only had to visit the massage therapist one last time in the first week. I then wisely invested in a two person infrared sauna from "Blackstone Saunas� and have been using it for the last year and a half. I still continue to see the massage therapist, but in the last year and a half I have only gone four times. I find that keeping a regular routine with using my infrared sauna helps me relax and relieves the back/should/neck tension and spasms, which allows me to carry on with my regular active life. Blackstone Saunas warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship. Blackstone Saunas will replace parts, which become defective within the warranty period, except for those parts damaged due to abuse, improper installation, misapplication, misuse, negligence, normal wear and tear, or unauthorized modifications. Any parts claimed to be defective must be shipped, freight prepaid, to Blackstone Saunas and the repaired or replaced product will be returned to the sender freight collect. When sent to Blackstone Saunas, the product must be accompanied by the sales receipt or other proof of purchase date, as well as the sender's name, mailing address, daytime telephone number and any other information relating to the sender's claim. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and terminates upon transfer of ownership. This warranty shall not apply to any claims arising from the misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, improper installation, including but not limited to exposure to fire or to excessive heat, and other hazards of nature. Under no circumstances will the manufacturer be liable for any special or consequential damages arising from the use of the product, components, and the parts attached, or installed with it, nor for injury to any person, any claims for damages arising from the use, installation, or servicing of the product. The purchaser is responsible for providing adequate access to the equipment for performance of any necessary service. The purchaser must establish, by dated sales slip, invoice or delivery receipt, the date of purchase. All costs for removing and reinstalling the sauna including the freight charges to and from customer shall be at the customer's expense. Jurisdictional provision: the laws of the Province of British Columbia control the provisions of this document. By accepting this warranty, the buyer subjects themselves to jurisdiction of the laws of the Province of British Columbia and agrees that place of suit shall be in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, Canada. Blackstone Saunas attaches to each sales slip a warranty card, which must be completed and returned to Blackstone Saunas within thirty days (30) from the date of purchase of the Blackstone Saunas product. Failure to return the warranty card within thirty days of purchase will void this warranty without any further notice.

Blackstone Products are for indoor use only. If the product is in an outdoor environment, the warranty is void regardless of any warranty cards. There shall be no warranties or obligations, express or implied hereunder, specifically excluding any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, other than specifically described herein. No liability shall accrue to Blackstone Saunas except as set forth herein.  In home warranty available in some areas for an additional cost.
